Over 56 tonnes of used beverage cartons, equivalent to 5.6 million milk cartons, have been collected through a beverage carton collection programme in schools in Tiên Du District, Bắc Ninh Province over the past four years.
The separation of used cartons for recycling has gained positive results at schools and households in Ha Noi when about 125 tonnes of used cartons were collected in the last two months of 2020.
School Recycling, a programme on classifying, segregating and recycling used cartons, will be expanded to twice as many schools as in the previous year, benefitting 1,600 primary schools and kindergartens in Hà Nội.
